Funding

Projects are conducted by HAL are funded in a number of ways:

• Through statutory levies (marketing and R&D) from levy payers. HAL is accountable to levy payers and to the Australian Government for the expenditure of Levy funds.
• Through voluntary contribution funds received from grower associations, commercial enterprises and individuals.
• Through Australian Government dollar-for-dollar funding for expenditure on R&D up to 0.5 per cent of the gross value of production for the total horticulture industry; and,
• Though other sources such as interest, royalties, sale of publications, etc.

Applying

All project funding applications must be entered through the HALO online application system in order to be considered.
