Onions Australia is currently in the process of tendering for a Communication and Extension project with Hort Innovation Australia which includes the creation of an Industry Development Officer position – specifically for the Australian onion industry.![]()
The Industry Development Officer will be a key feature of the new project and will be tasked with delivering a national extension program for the onions industry, through supporting five regionally based onion grower groups.![]()
The groups will be based in the main onion producing regions of Tasmania, Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia.![]()
The national Onions Industry Extension Officer will work with growers to assist in identifying and addressing a range of regionally focused issues and opportunities that will help the industry moving forward.![]()
The Industry Development Officer will be an exciting addition to the Onions Australia team and will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the Australian onion industry.![]()
